I love love love capturing babies with their eyes open! They are usually the parents favorite images! Although we always strive to have a sleeping baby, I love it when they are wide awake for a part of their newborn sessions to capture the amazement in their eyes!

It seems like only months ago I did the maternity session for this couples first baby, it’s amazing how fast the time has gone! Meet sweet baby Devyn!!! She is one lucky little girl to have such an incredible family to call hers. We almost didn’t get to do maternity photos this time, but luckily we made it just in time!!! Looking to learn how to take adorable photos of your family, friends or even your own kids? Have a DSLR Camera (that you strictly purchased to take photos of your children) that you keep on Auto because you just don’t know where to start? I have heard this same thing from sooooo many people. I have been there and I didn’t like it. I was overwhelmed with “technical words” and none of it made sense to me. I read my manual over and over and so many times I just wished I had someone to ask for help. WELL I WANT TO HELP!
This class is for anyone, not just parents! It’s the perfect beginner photography class! I will help you by starting at the beginning and helping you be more comfortable with that camera and how to take beautiful images with it!
I am by no means a “Camera Techie” (if you are and you want to know all the technical stuff on your camera this is NOT the class for you, but I do have a wonderful photographer friend that DOES!). This class will be a hands on class where we go outside together and I will give you the tips I use to photograph children of all ages, including posing, tricks on getting “natural” smiles and learning some basic composition on how to make those photos pop! We will go over camera settings and you are welcome to bring additional lenses if you have them (or discuss which ones would be great to try out!). I will tell you what I do in my sessions! And you can ask me all the questions you want!
This class is $200 per person and it will be a 2 hour class on Sunday April 2, 2017. I have a morning class 10am-12pm OR a second afternoon class from 2pm-4pm both days, that way there is a couple options if the other time doesn’t work. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your space (email transfer). There will be a technical section, where you can take notes), a shooting period and then time for one on one and questions and feedback near the end as well as a take home to help you keep practising at home. You need to BRING your manual with you (even if it’s on your cell phone and was downloaded online).

Well it was a surprise to have snow for this session but I am so glad this beautiful Mommy-to-be braved the cold (and then the wind) to do this snowy maternity session! Let me tell you, it was COOOOOOLD! The location was super pretty in the snow though! Thanks so much for allowing me to capture this amazing time for you, it means a lot. I had so much fun at Cullen’s newborn session! Him and his brother are just sooooo adorable! I just wanted to keep photographing him, he could have stayed all day he was just so sweet!
